Join us for our 3-part training series with coding and billing consultant Ann Finn covering billing, coding and revenue management challenges and best practices in Michigan’s Title X service delivery network to help your agency work together as a team and optimize your family planning visit dollars.

Ann Finn’s education includes a BS in Quantitative Analysis, Business and Financial Management / Computer Science from the State University of New York at Geneseo; CPT, E/M and ICD-CM coding instruction.

All roles are welcome to attend each session – the more of the team that joins each session – the more your agency will benefit and be able to work together to identify challenges and implement new strategies that work best for your agency.

Best Practices for Preparing a Client for a Title X Visit

Capturing the Clinical Encounter

Join us for our Coding Refresher where we will focus on the importance of capturing family planning services correctly and the impact of coding family planning has on your revenue. We’ll cover Evaluation and Management (E/M) coding tips based on AMA 2021 new guidance for E/M coding, CPT procedure and ICD-10 diagnosis common codes, billing modifiers, Telehealth, and codes for contraception dispensed including LARC devices.  Coding scenarios, tools and resources and time for Q&A will be included.

Session 3:
Revenue Management in Title X

In our 3rd session, we’ll focus on the back-end portion of the revenue cycle including common billing challenges that cost your Title X agency important dollars.  We’ll discuss the components of effective claims management including: billing the correct/optimal amount; managing client fee collections; managing client and third-party payments; avoiding and resolving claims denials; understanding the use of remittance reports; the importance of related key performance indicators or KPI’s to monitor change and ongoing success and available tools and resources for staff.  We’ll end with discussion time for key take-aways from the 3 sessions, next steps, and Q&A.
